The Colombian Ska-Punk Band Doctor Krapula Just Added to RLM

We are delighted to announce the next band joining us next year, the Colombian ska-punk band Doctor Krapula.
Doctor Krapula was formed in 1998 in Bogota, Colombia, and has become a leading name in Latin American ska-punk. With a sound that combines elements less common to the punk genre, such as merengue or salsa, the Colombian band successfully captures the essence of this genre in its lyrics. Doctor Krapula quickly gained popularity among the public due to their powerful socio-political message.

As a result of their rise, the band has received a variety of music awards, including 17 Shock Music Awards and four Our Earth Awards. The band was also nominated five times for the Latin Grammy and once for the Latin MTV Awards. In 2012, Doctor Krapula founded the biggest festival in Bogota, the Viva El Planeta Festival.

Some of the main live events where Doctor Krapula has performed are: Concert with Manu Chao & Radio Bemba, Bogota (2006); Rock in the Park Festival in Bogota (2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006), Concert with The Black Eyed Peas & Smash Mouth, Bogota (2005); Concert for the Human Rights with Orishas & Aterciopelados, Bogota (2005, 2006, 2007) and much more.

In their 25 years of activity, they have released more than 11 studio albums. “Viva El Planeta” was released in 2013, and brought them a Gold Disc in Colombia for the best-selling album. Having such a rich history behind them, Doctor Krapula is one of the most notable names on the Rock la Mureş stage. We are kicking off the punk fiesta with Latin rhythms at Periam Port in 2024, and you do not want to miss this opportunity.
